Our reliance on the internet continues to increase meaning a higher demand for faster and more stable connections. But what if
you live in a more remote part of the countryside or are simply currently overlooked by fibre broadband suppliers?
Starlink, an innovation from Elon Musk's Space X, is a high speed satellite internet service which breaks the convention of what we normally
consider with satellite technology. Unlike TV services which us a single position satellite in geostationary orbit
(approximately 22,500 miles above the equator) Starlink uses its own constellation or mesh of low earth orbit satellites,
in fact over 5000 of them, orbitting at around 340 miles from the ground below. This low earth orbit takes just 95 mins to
circle the globe travelling at a staggering near 17,000mph! Similar to a mesh of mobile cell towers, the constellation of
satellites communicate between each other and up and down to earth giving global coverage.
The Starlink internet service and equipment is generally only available directly through the Starlink.com website here by either a one off purchase of the equipment
or an equipment rental charge (plus the actual monthly service charge). Although we cannot supply the Starlink equipment, we can certainly
assess your property and install for you and advise on what components you will need to facilitate a smooth installation.
